The Ralli Story author:

Patricia Stoddard has longstanding interest and experience in the Indian subcontinent. In the 1990s, she lived in Islamabad, Pakistan for over two years and built a comprehensive collection of Pakistani and Indian ralli quilts, which now belongs to the IQM. She also wrote the definitive text on this beautiful form of fabric art: Ralli Quilts: Traditional Textiles from Pakistan and India.

World Quilts project curator and editor:

Marin Hanson is the International Quilt Museum’s (IQM) curator of international collections and is responsible for building and interpreting the museum’s non-Western collection. Hanson has been a curator at the IQM since 2001 and is editor of Abstract Design in American Quilts at 50 (2021) and co-editor of American Quilts in the Modern Age, 1870-1940 (2009). She is project curator for the IQM’s World Quilts website and contributor to several of its modules.
