Sajnuben of the Debaria Rabari group in Kutch, India shows a wedding quilt for her son. The extensive requirement in their Rabari community for a large textile dowry was outlawed by vote in 1995 by the Rabaris except for quilts. A change in quilts came with purchased trims instead of hand embroidery.
