The design on this ralli was described by the villagers in Umerkot, Sindh as being a very “old” pattern. Particularly the floral design on the sashing is seen in ancient pottery. It was suggested by villagers that the circular sawtooth design might be a breadbasket. The gold shape on the border has been called a temple.
