This type of long, narrow ralli is often used to cover a stack of quilts in a home. It can also be used as an eating cloth placed on the ground. This example was made in the district of Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, part of which is in the Cholistan Desert. The quilts here typically use white and primary colors like red, blue and yellow with fine-lined applique designs, often alternating with patchwork designs.
