After the International Quilt Museum moved into its new facility in 2008, the first exhibition the curatorial staff traveled abroad was "Quilts in Common: Around the Globe and Across the Centuries." Showcasing similarities among quilts from disparate times and places, the exhibition was on view at the Quilter's Guild of the British Isles' Quilt Museum & Gallery (no longer open) in York, England from October 10, 2008 to January 11, 2009.
