Commentary by Ardis James: "Thirteen blocks, set on point.  Imagine describing this quilt to someone: blue and yellow calico print lilies with polka dot stems in red and black, and green calico leaves on pink background, red and green streak o' lightning border and sashing, 9" navy border with yellow flowers and cerise binding.  (Would they believe you?) Quilting is simple outline with leaf motif in outer triangles and large cable in border, thread matching the background.  The backing is a totally unrelated large-scale print of bright earthtone flowers on medium blue background.  This is the most colorful Mennonite quilt I have seen."
