This bedding ensemble was made by women who are part of the company, South Tribes of Kyrgyzstan. During the summer, these women work mainly in agriculture, but in winter, they attempt to make a living through crafts. They use traditional patchwork (kurak) to create a variety of objects from pillows to large-scale quilts. All income goes toward the education of their children, medical care and clothing.
