Collectors Robert and Ardis James, Nihon Vogue Corporation chairman Tadanobu Seto, and Jonathan Holstein posed in front of some of the James Collection quilts that were featured in Nihon Vogue’s “World Quilt ‘98” exhibition in Tokyo. The Jameses, who began collecting in the late 1970s, built one of the most important private quilt collections in the world, which they donated to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997, establishing the International Quilt Museum. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries, Archives & Special Collections, Jonathan Holstein Quilt Papers
