This detail of an ornate table cover made in Crazy patchwork is fringed with gold braid and backed with yellow gold silk. Unusually, some of the embroidery takes the form of boteh-shaped Paisley patterns and these, as well as the floral motifs, spread beyond the confines of the individual patches. The table cover also includes applied beads and sequins and winding couched braid.
