Despite being unfinished, this all-cotton velvet crazy coverlet has been well executed and has a different look to many British examples. The controlled palette of blues, greens, mustards, and maroons and the use of plain herringbone stitching in off white throughout have resulted in a restrained yet pleasing aesthetic. The stitching goes through to the foundation, a backing of coarse dark brown and striped cottons.
