Quilts, often given as gifts from one generation to the next, have served as sentimental keepsakes. Even in the height of the market for collectible antique Amish quilts some families resisted the high prices offered for their family heirlooms. Here we see Ben Weaver’s keepsakes, including a quilt made in 1977 by his grandmother. Many families choose not to use such heirloom quilts for everyday, but instead keep them stored away in chests for safekeeping.
