In 1990, Lo Moa Moua established a quilt and paj ntaub shop in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Lancaster County, where she hired Amish and Mennonite women to quilt the tops she and her sisters appliqued. In her 2003 Quilters’ S.O.S.— Save Our Stories interview she shared this Country Bride wall hanging, the type of appliqué quilt Hmong women typically helped make.
