Sometimes we are lucky enough to know a quitmaker’s design source. That is the case here, in which an Indiana Amish woman based her elegant quilting motifs on one of the Wilkinson Quilt Company’s “art quilts,” which it marketed through its catalog in the 1910s through 30s. Anna Christner Miller gave this quilt to her daughter Sylvia prior to her marriage to Jonas Hostetler.
