Each year cancer survivors, family and friends of cancer survivors and victims, and other cancer research activists come together in their communities for the Relay for Life. Individuals join teams to raise money for cancer research prior to the big event scheduled separately in each community. Since 2007, the “Mommas in Pajamas” Relay for Life team has raised funds by solicting cash donations, selling homemade items, and an annual raffle quilt made by some of its members.
