Project Linus has donated more than 4.5 million knitted, crocheted, and quilted blankets to children in need since 1998. The goals of the organization are two-fold: “provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need” and “provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups.” Project Linus’s website documents donation groups, pattern suggestions, and recipient organizations.
