The Lincoln Quilters Guild formed in 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Like many other guilds, it was founded as a traditional in-person group. Creating an online presence and community allows traditional guilds to share information with its members. They can post announcements, meeting notes, class and meeting schedules, and publicity for upcoming events. Many of them also use this as a way for smaller groups within the organization to share information with each other and the larger guild.
