Quilts of Valor Foundation’s mission is “to cover all combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.” Catherine Roberts founded the organization in 2003, while her son was deployed in Iraq, to assure soldiers a welcome of love and gratitude upon their return. QOV volunteers donated over 90,000 quilts during its first decade.
