Few quilts betray their fabrics’ original purposes as obviously as this one. Here the maker deconstructed a number of garments, including knitted sweaters, socks, hats, and men’s swimsuits. More common than reusing old clothing wholesale was the integration of fabric pieces left over from making clothing.
