Therese May  was an early quilt artist. Trained as an artist, she transitioned from paintings to art quilts while making bed quilts for her family. One of her early photographic quilts was published in Jean Ray Laury’s 1970 Quilts & Coverlets: A Contemporary Approach. Over the last forty years, she has taught workshops and exhibited her work all over the world. Sawblade was featured in Penny McMorris and Michael Kile’s landmark exhibition and book The Art Quilt.
