The Variable Star Quilters’ analysis found that many of the pattern templates were unworkable, printed in too small a scale to be useful, with confusing and awkward instructions in the accompanying manual. This suggested to them that whoever adapted the patterns was not an experienced quilter. This pattern, like others, adapts a nineteenth century design with popular 1930s styling.
