Although Crazy beadwork seems to have been more popular in the United Kingdom, it appears in quilts from both sides of the Atlantic. The piece at left, from a British Crazy quilt, is intricately beaded with what could be interpreted as a paisley motif, similar to a turban pendant often worn by royalty in Mughal India. On the right, is an American Crazy crib quilt with a shell motif made from densely packed seed beads.
