This is a page from a 1980s brochure for the Freedom Quilting Bee including the “Coat of Many Colors” pattern seen in the previous slide. The Bee is still in existence today. The women built a business around Father Walter’s original idea—they purchased land in 1968 to build a production site, they leased part of the building as a day-care center for more than two decades, and they expanded their product line to include other items like soft fabric Children's Blocks advertised on the bottom right corner of the brochure.
