Ida Pricilla Williams was skilled at many forms of needlework including quilting and crocheting.  Although this is her only surviving quilt, the complexity of pattern and tiny pieces are a testament to her skill. Born in Missouri around 1873, Williams lived in Kansas City, Kansas, for most of her adult life.  She and her first husband John Giebner had three children. Her descendants registered this quilt with the South Carolina Quilt History Project in the mid-1980s.
