The Amish may be the most famous group to have built  businesses around quiltmaking. The most successful craft enterprises are those that have realized their identity was part of the appeal.  The Amish “brand” imbued quilts with authenticity, tradition, and a guarantee of craftsmanship when Americans were looking for something that was not mass-produced.
