This one-of-a-kind quilt has several Modern Age characteristics. It was constructed: 1) with a sewing machine, 2) on a foundation fabric (the strips of fabric were folded over onto the next strip and secured with a machine-sewn top stitch, 3) with rayon and cotton fabrics similar to those used for ribbons, such as faille or bengaline.
