This Crazy quilt incorporates a range of silk fabrics and ribbons, where the patch edges have been embroidered with a number of stitches: herringbone, feather, fly, fern, and straight. The plentiful printed and woven commemorative ribbons date from a 25-year span, including two that honor the Republican and Democratic candidates of the 1888 United States presidential election. Many ribbons mark events that took place in the state of Ohio.
