Allison Aller is a well-known Crazy quilter in the United States who has won a variety of awards at national and regional quilt shows including the American Quilters' Society Show and the International Quilt Association Show in Houston. She has a design degree from Cornell University and has been making quilts and teaching quiltmaking for over 30 years. Allison created the quilt in honor of Harold W. Bryant, Jr., whom everyone called "H". The font used in the lettering is the first known charted cross stitch alphabet, done in Germany in 1528.  Allison says, "H would have loved that."
