Hmong seamstresses like Houa Yang became adept at adapting both American country-style quilts and her native paj ntaub tradition. In her 2003 Quilters S.O.S. -- Save Our Stories oral history interview (a project of the Quilt Alliance), she shared this piece assembled with paj ntaub blocks into a quilt.
